In the spring of 2021 our Arch Coat sold out in four hours. We did what every growing label does: we called the atelier, ordered three hundred more, and felt very grown-up about it. Six months later two hundred of them were still in a storage unit in Køge, and the cloth we had rushed to buy was not the cloth we had chosen the first time.
Scarcity is not the point
People assume a no-restock rule is a marketing trick. It is not. It is a production rule. When we know a piece will be made forty-eight times and never again, every decision gets sharper: we buy the exact metres of deadstock we need, we book the atelier for a fixed week, and we stop designing for a hypothetical second run.
A finite run forces you to make the right thing the first time. There is no version two to hide behind.
What it changed
Zero dead stock in storage since Drop 03.
Every label is hand-numbered, so you know exactly which of the forty-eight you own.
Our ateliers plan around fixed weeks instead of panic orders.
It does mean some of you miss out. We are sorry about that, genuinely. But the next drop is always closer than you think, and it will be just as considered as the last.
